Kate Cahill

Family Support Worker

Kate is our cat-loving, tea-making mother figure of the team! Her desk drawer of treasures is sure to have everything from medicines to chocolate, safety pins to coffee, and everything in between. Her kind and helpful nature make her personality a perfect fit for the role of a family support worker; nothing is too much trouble when she is with our families! Kate’s selflessness and obliging ways mean, she is always willing to help out, and organise, she is the first to provide assistance to her colleagues and attend events on behalf of Bolster Community. Never one to shy away from new challenges, she has been a great enabler for families. Her life experience in the community and voluntary sector make her a very important staff member.

Kate has ended up in a few testing situations in her time including cat rehoming? Trekking the long way around Castlewellan Park at our summer schemes and completing a Mourne Home to Hospital trip in her first few weeks of working with us. She is often found in the Sunray Bakery at lunchtime – ordering her staple sausages, chips and beans (paired with tea and brown sauce of course!).
