Activity Club Leader

We are looking for a reliable candidate who will be required to provide stimulating play opportunities to children living in the SHSCT area that encourages learning, development and self-expression, with four main objectives:

1. To plan and oversee the delivery of play opportunities to children aged 4 -16.

2. To plan and oversee the delivery of evidence-based parenting and resilience programmes.

3. To plan and oversee the delivery of play opportunities and evidence-based programmes to children of mixed abilities.

4. To plan and oversee the delivery of play opportunities and evidence-based programmes in a variety of settings.

Disability Family Support Worker

This role is supporting families within the Armagh and Dungannon area. Whilst there may be some requirement to attend meetings at our Newry offices, the successful applicant will work from home.

It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure they have suitable space to work and broadband and telephone connectivity in place.

To deliver specified early intervention and family support services to children aged 0-17 with a diagnosed or undiagnosed disability and their families residing across the Armagh and Dungannon area, with four main objectives:

• Support families with children who have a disability to access services appropriate to their needs.

• Support children with a disability to access opportunities in a community setting to helping them to reach their full potential.

• Support families and carers of children who have a disability, to avoid the development of chronic familial situations via the use of early intervention and preventative intervention.

• Promote autonomy, resilience and build capacity within family groups.

Creche Support Worker (multiple positions for bank staff)

The post holder will be required to support the programme facilitator to plan, organise and implement a stimulating and varied programme of play and educational activities for children aged 0-4.

To support the delivery of Creche/Play sessions across the Sure Start programmes.

Ensure a safe, stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities is provided for children aged 0-4, suitable to the child’s age and stage of development.

  • Contribute to the effective day to day operation of the creche or play programme.
  • To establish a secure stimulating varied programme of play (including stories, art and craft etc) for the children within the group.
  • To set up the playroom and kitchen before the group commences and tidy up again after the children leave.
  • To maintain high standards of practice in supporting children and families within the Sure Start model.
  • To involve parents where appropriate in activities with their children and be responsive to parents and children, building positive relationships.
  • To be vigilant about the upkeep of equipment ensuring that good standards of hygiene are followed.
  • To ensure equality of opportunity, fairness and diversity in all aspects of work.
  • Implement good safeguarding practice in all areas of work.

Programme Facilitator (multiple positions for sessional work)

As part of our five-year strategic plan we are developing and delivering a range of evidence based educational and well-being opportunities to support and enable people to improve their health and well-being.

Due to the success of our evidence-based programmes we are seeking to expand our bank of programme facilitators who will deliver programmes and activities to parents and children on a sessional basis. Facilitators will be flexible and have experience in leading group activities with adults and children in either a school, sport or social setting.

Programmes will be either 8 or 10 sessions run over 8/10 weeks and will run during daytime or evenings depending on demand; facilitators must commit to completing each programme. Given the current restrictions programmes will run face to face and remotely via Zoom (dependant on current government guidelines) and facilitators must be confident delivering over both mediums.
